The Emil G. Prull Volunteer Guild is an organization of Starlighters II volunteers. It is not a separate entity, but will function under the close cooperation and supervision of the Starlighters II Board of Directors.
2. What is its Mission Statement?
"The mission of the Emil G. Prull Volunteer Guild is to provide a structure for volunteer coordination within Starlighters II Theatre, and to support the artistic, educational, and functional goals of the theatre."
3. What are the goals of the Volunteer Guild?
Our first and foremost goal is to give greater recognition to our valued
supporters and volunteers. We also hope to provide a structure within which
we can better assist the Board of Directors in achieving, not just the essential
tasks of the theatre, but also its long-term goals:
1) improvements in the building and better organization of its departments;
2) continued assistance for school theatre programs and student scholarships;
3) theatre education for adults and youth;
4) greater support for the Young People's Theatre.
4. Who was Emil G. Prull?
Emil G. Prull was the first President of Starlighters II and was instrumental in helping the new theatre group set a successful course for the future. As an educator, Emil G. Prull provided a wonderful example of the use of theatre as a learning environment and a place for personal growth. He was a man who believed in the importance of getting involved in one's community so as to make it better. It is his inspiration that we look to within the Guild to guide us into the future.
