"Proof"
by David Auburn
Synopsis:
Catherine, a troubled young woman, gave up her education, and her life, to spend years caring for her brilliant but unstable father, a famous mathematician. Now, following his death, she must deal with her own volatile emotions; the arrival of her estranged sister, Claire; and the attentions of Hal, a former student, and protégé, of her father who hopes to find valuable work in the 103 notebooks that her father left behind. In her search for truth, Catherine is finally forced to confront her family’s twin legacies of madness and genius.
"'Proof' captures much of the same flavor of intrigue and fascination that was present in the outstanding motion picture, 'A Beautiful Mind.' If you liked that movie, you will love 'Proof.'"
