Support our theatre!
For over 50 years, Starlighters Theatre has been a place of creativity, education, theatre and friendships. It is our mission to produce excellent live theatre through the ongoing education of actors and directors. This mission is made possible through producing high-quality theatre as well as by hosting educational classes for young thespians and courses to help those wishing to learn more about acting, directing, writing, set designing, programing lights and sound and costuming.
These experiences are offered at a little to no cost to ensure everyone is able to learn. Ticket sales alone do not fully fund these initiatives. We depend on the generosity of businesses and people like you.
Starlighters II Theatre is a 501(C)3 charitable organization, making your gift is fully tax deductible. For more information on other ways you can support our theatre, contact marketing@starlighters.org.

Auditions
We welcome actors of all experience levels and backgrounds to participate in our productions. Auditions will typically consist of reading from sides and some improvisational activities. Musical auditions will consist of singing pieces from the show, reading sides, and possibly a dance portion. Auditions will take place on stage in front of others auditioning. You do not need to bring a head shot or resume. No main stage show is ever precast, and all casting decisions are at the discretion of the director. Actors do not need to be the same age as the characters listed in order to audition. Please enter the theatre from the back lot door and head to the lobby where an attendant will meet you to give out important information.

"A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder" is a hilarious, Tony Award-winning musical comedy that follows the misadventures of Monty Navarro, a charming yet penniless young man who discovers he is ninth in line to inherit the D’Ysquith family fortune. Determined to leapfrog his way to wealth, Monty devises a cunning plan to eliminate each relative standing between him and the family estate—one by one. Along the way, he juggles a love triangle with his fiancée and his mistress, all while evading the ever-suspicious law.
With its witty dialogue, lively songs, and over-the-top characters (many played by a single actor), this uproarious romp is a must-see for lovers of classic farce and dark humor. Don't miss this dazzling, laugh-out-loud production!

What to Prepare for Auditions
Those interested in a principal role should prepare a cut (16 to 32 bars) of a song in the style of the show. Your song selection should showcase your technical singing abilities. Please bring a backing track. We will provide a bluetooth speaker. If you prefer to bring your own speaker, you may. If you have any questions about what to prepare, please email Artistic@starlighters.org.
Everyone auditioning will be asked to read sides from the show and do a brief acting exercise. Those only interested in ensemble roles will learn an excerpt from the show. Anyone interested in a principal role or an ensemble role will be asked to participate in learning the excerpt in addition to their prepared piece.

If you are unable to attend auditions in person, you may submit a video by filling out the audition form here and then upload your video at the end. Videos should include singing a cut (16 to 32 bars) of a song in the style of the show and a 1-2 minute monologue. You may use a selection from the show for your monologue.
